Broadcasting & Cable just published an article that says Ellen's ratings are still going strong and it also has several interesting things about the show.

“Over the past couple of months, we've had to focus less on celebrities, so we've had more human-interest guests on the show and they've really been resonating. Ellen is fantastic with real people,” says Hilary Estey McLoughlin, president of Telepictures Productions.

DeGeneres was thrilled when her writers returned after the strike ended on Feb. 12. But the show has changed. It's “more focused on Ellen now. The writers obviously enhance the show, but she's also been more spontaneous and it's working,” says McLoughlin."

Time Magazine has a poll on their website where you can vote for the best cover and Ellen's (or "Ellin" as Time spelled it) iconic 1997 "Yep, I'm Gay" cover is currently rated as the best cover ever published.

In the most recent Modern Dog magazine there is several pages and pictures about Ellen.

Here's one picture from the magazine but I couldn't find the magazine in any stores that I went to so if you have any scans from the magazine please send them to me or upload them to the gallery.

Update: Today Ellen announced that she is now part owner of a dog food company called Halo Purely For Pets. I think this must be the announcement she was talking about in the article below.

Tvweek.com recently published a transcript of an interview with Ellen but here's the most interesting part of the interview
"There’s one thing that will be announced in probably the next month that I’m doing, but it makes total sense because it’s me and it’s something I’m passionate about."

What could the announcement be? I think it might be a line of sneakers. Talk about this in the comment section or forum and say what you think it could be.
