Update: Today Ellen announced that she is now part owner of a dog food company called Halo Purely For Pets. I think this must be the announcement she was talking about in the article below.
Tvweek.com recently published a transcript of an interview with Ellen but here's the most interesting part of the interview
"There’s one thing that will be announced in probably the next month that I’m doing, but it makes total sense because it’s me and it’s something I’m passionate about."
What could the announcement be? I think it might be a line of sneakers. Talk about this in the comment section or forum and say what you think it could be.

Ellen's camera crew mobilized and along with The Jonas Brothers surprised a bunch of girls waiting to buy tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas, Texas. The camera crew and Jonas Brothers popped up on a roof of a near by building and the band played some songs. This will air on Monday's episode

The Golden Globes were nearly cancelled due to the writers strike but that didn't stop Ellen and Portia from having their own awards show
Ellen DeGeneres and girlfriend Portia de Rossi joked that they'd be holding their own private gala on Sunday night. "We're giving each other awards," said DeGeneres. "We're pretending we're up for things, getting all dressed up in the living room and taking pictures: 'Portia, single shot!' And we have a little round table, and we drink and eat like we're at the Globes. We pretend we have an awards show."
I hope they had fun!

In a new survey that was released today Ellen has become America's favorite star and kicked Oprah out of the # 1 spot that she has held for the last five years.
